Kooshk Residency and Panal 361 present an exchange program between Iran and Argentina for one Iranian and one Argentinian artist, active in the fields of visual arts. This exchange program exists out of two parts. The first part will be held during October 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During a residency of one month, the Iranian artist has the opportunity to work in Buenos Aires and collaborate with the Argentinian artist. RAP will be providing accommodation in a shared housing, a shared atelier and an exhibition space at Panal 361 for an open studio for the artist from Tehran, Iran.

The second part will be held during December 2018 in Tehran, Iran. The Argentinean artist will have the opportunity to work in Tehran within our international residency community. During these four weeks, the artist will be introduced to the Iranian art scene, be invited to gallery openings and meet Iranian artists. Kooshk offers accommodation, studio space and the opportunity to present a public talk and an open studio for the selected Argentinean artist.

The selected artists from both Panal 361 and Kooshk Residency will be expected to work on a project, present a public talk, participate in an open studio and present in a transfer activity once back in the country of origin. Overall, the selected artists are invited to participate in collaborative activities related to the receiving institutions communities and engage with members of the local art scene.

The application is open for contemporary visual artists from Iran. Applicants have to be interested in exchanging ideas and consider the participation in both parts of the projects. Applications will be evaluated by a committee of both organizers mentioned above and will be informed by e-mail.

Panal 361 and Kooshk Residency do not support airfare, stipends, insurance and production costs. And artists themselves are supposed to cover these expenses.
