Artistes en Residence and Kooshk Residency present the second round of exchange program between Tehran and Clermont-Ferrand for two French and two Iranian visual artists. This exchange program exists out of two parts. The first part is held from 7-30 April, 2016 in Tehran, Iran.
In this residency, the French artists have the opportunity to work in Tehran, Iran and collaborate with the Iranian artists. During this time, the space will be open to a local public of artists, students, and art critics. The program will end with a presentation and a panel discussion.
The second part will be held from 1-31 July, 2016 in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The same French and Iranian artists will participate in the second part. There will be a presentation and a panel discussion at the end as well. The application is open for visual artists from France and Iran, interested in site-specific practices and the socio-cultural context of France and Iran. Applicants have to be interested in exchanging ideas and consider the participation in both parts of the projects. Applicants will be evaluated by a committee of the organizers mentioned above and will be informed by e-mail.
For the Iranian artists, accommodation and studio space for one month in Clermont-Ferrand will be provided by Artistes en Residence, and the artists themselves will be in position to cover the expenses for airfare, insurance, medical coverage for the duration of the program, any visa fee which should be incurred and the living expenses such as travel and food.
Program for the French artists includes: accommodation (a room to share for two people) and studio space for period of their stay in Tehran that will be provided by Kooshk Residency.
