Shortlist of Selected Applicants for KARA 2018

We are pleased to announce the selected shortlist of applicants for the fourth round of Kooshk Artist Residency Award (KARA 2018). For this round, 139 applications were received from different countries. The first round was done by Aysha Waja – Curator at Bag Factory, Gemma Sharpe – PhD Candidate Art History, New York, Giulio Verago – Cultural Operator and Project Manager of VIR Viafarini and Jennifer Lindsay – Residency Director at Red Gate Residency and 20 applications which got the highest scores got shortlisted for final evaluation.

The final 4 awardees will be announced on Mid-February 2018 by the team of jury, consisting of  Danda Jaroljmek – Director of Circle Art Gallery, Nairobi, Kenya and Administrator for The African Arts, Ehsan Rasoulof – Director and Founder of Kooshk Residency, Heejung Park – Manager of MMCA Residency Changdong, run by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, Iftikhar Dadi – Associate Professor in Department of History of Art, Cornell University and Jean-Baptiste Joly – Director of Akademie Schloss Solitude – Stuttgart, Germany.
