Presentation of the three selected art critics of Iran-Ireland Exchange program has been held in Rybon Art Center as its 10th talk session. This was a part of Collaboration between Kooshk Residency and Irish Musuem of Modern Art (IMMA) which will be happening for one month in Tehran and then in Dublin. In this session Siamak Delzendeh from Iran and Anne Mullee and Barry Kahoe from Ireland gave a presentation about their previous research and activities as the selected participants of this program .
Barry Kehoe first described a bit about the status of art in southern Ireland and then gave some introductions about the art schools in Dublin, The Museum of Modern Art, and a brief description of his working experiences. He also explained about the acquaintance of Ireland with Iranian art which goes back to Shirin Neshat’s exhibition in Museum of Modern Art in 2006, and that Shirazeh Houshiari is the only Iranian artist whom an art work of her can be found in the museum archive. Siamak Delzendeh presented a short description about his work and studies in Montreal and then introduced his articles published in Iranian and English language publications in detail. In the end Anne Mullee, the other Irish guest, presented her previous written articles and then gave some explanations about some shows curated by her. After finishing the residency in Tehran, the selected artists will continue their discussions about art criticism in Dublin.
